Getting started

12:43 AM has that sort of "drip-pan at the end of the day" feel that evokes introspective thoughts both near and far. Three thoughts for now:

1. Success is all about how you perceive yourself. At no time like Holidays are the insecurities of so many revealed to be so great over so little while the true meaning of Christmas; a gift so graciously offered to all that so often is sadly dismissed.

2. Few experiences in life are as enjoyable as sitting down and listening to someone share their stories of success and sorrow...the essence of great literature. Last evening I chatted with a good friends older brother who though we never met each other before realized we'd crossed paths - both literally and figurativly - over the past 30 years numerous times.

3. SEO Strategies: Having rolled through December's SES in Chicago it is abundantly clear that the corner stone for success with web site SEO tactics going forward lies solely (dare I say exclusively) in the formation of new and original content; publishing 101. (New tactics for re-directs, masking and assorted efforts to fool the "Big G" will be caught faster and with stiffer penalties. They are and will always be smarter than all of us under the current set of conditions.) With new and better content as the core to success for page rank (i.e. traffic) it more incumbent upon all web publishers/editors to look at content - whether text based stories, maps or a parametrically searchable database - with the same zeal of years past but with much wider angle lens. The winners will once again be those who can out imagine and out execute the rest of us.
